Note that the holes of the housing are square, this is why I said not to twist or wedge the pins when extracting them. You will need to reinsert two pins (the longer ones) at one end of the housing so that the free ends point to the other end of the housing. The longer end of the L shape pin should be inserted in. Also note that the housing may have a side that is completely flat and a side that is slotted along its length. The pin should be inserted from the slotted side if both sides are not completely flat. The reason for using the longer pins instead of the shorter ones is so that the motion sensor can be reliably plugged into a breadboard. You can always use the shorter pins if you only want to solder the sensor on a PCB.
