Introduction: Mp3 Sock Made Out of Old Sweatpants

All you need is a pair of old sweatpants (or at least the leg), a sewing machine, and some creativity!

Step 1: Preparation

Cut off a leg from your sweatpants and get your mp3 player-you'll need it to help you measure how big the 'sock' should be

Step 2: Making the Pencil Marks

Turn the leg inside out, and slide your mp3 player into the bottom of the leg, where the elastic is. Make sure it is on the far left or right of the leg to minimize sewing. Next, take a pencil and mark the edges of the player.

Step 3: Sewing

Using your sewing machine (or you could do it by hand if you want, but i wouldn't recommend it) sew along your pencil lines, making sure to include the elastic part.

Step 4: Cutting

When you are done sewing, take some scissors and cut around the stitch, but leave a little bit of fabric so the stitch doesn't unravel.

Step 5: Be Creative!

Finally, turn your sock inside out so that you are looking at the right side again, and add whatever flare you want! I put a red button on mine :) THE END

Nice instructable. Just curious if you have problems with your zune at all. Power, freezing, etc. I've gone through three of them before I finally wised up and bought an Ipod touch. Again, nice instructable. Thanks

yeah, a couple months ago it mysteriously ran out of power when I knew i just charged it, and when i plugged it into the computer, it showed the little battery icon as being full, so that was weird.. but it doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, so I have no idea. I'll probably upgrade to the newer Zune fairly soon though. Did you have an older version or the newer version?

I had 2 white older versions, and one brown one. After they all screwed up I wasn't about to go out and buy another, even if it was new. It was all just too frustrating. Besides, my ipod touch just works. I think it's probably the most driver-friendly mp3 player i've seen. Especially since I bought a mount from proclipusa.com. I've got a pretty cool setup where I just slide my ipod in to the holder, and away I go. But yea, I wouldn't buy another zune, period.
