Instructables
A "breadpocket" is a small, crispy snack. It uses two pieces of bread and can be filled with almost anything. It was about 2 years ago when I came up with this idea, and since I have an instructables account, I figured "hey why not". It is good for a snack and its extremely easy to make.

IDEAS These are some ingredients I have tried that you could use to fill your breadpocket.

sugar and cinnamon

strawberry, banana, or any other fruit

ham and cheese *

chocolate chips

any kind of jelly or jam

peanut butter and banana or raisins

peanut butter and jelly

OTHER IDEAS These ingredients have been suggested by others. If you have ideas, let me know.
_

pie filling *

pizza sauce and cheese *

turkey with light gravy

sloppy joe sauce *

tomatoes ( diced )

You may want to put the ingredients with a * by them in the microwave first

Step 3: Add the Filling

Now it is time to add the filling. You could pretty much use whatever you want. I used sugar and cinnamon as an example. Just put whatever you are using over the buttered area. Now put one piece over the other, buttered side down.

Step 5: Toast it

Now put it in the toaster for roughly 2 minutes 30 seconds. This usually won't fully toast it, but will make the bread crispy and melt the butter. You are now done. Eat it and enjoy :)

What about sloppy joe filling (might make them a little less sloppy), or tomatoes, or left over turkey with just a touch of gravy, or pie filling... Ingredients should be warmed first in microwave or something. Sounds like great fun for the kids. I bet they'd love assembling them too! HEY - what about pizza ingredients?! Would that taste good with the bread crust? I remember having one of those pocket sandwich makers that you use for over a fire, alot the same. Cool idea.

I know, you could fill it with just about anything you could think of. I bet pie filling would be really good... Actually everything you suggested sounds good. I'll have to try them.

this is an amazing idea for me to be able to close up my kids sandwiches (I have a 1 and 3 year old and they are really messy) great idea....and I like toast with butter cinnamon and sugar....we call it dessert toast lol! with the 2 pieces together like that is it too wide for the toaster slot?

Thanks. Its not too wide for the toaster I have... hopefully that's not a problem for other people. I didn't think about that.

That sounds like one of the most disgusting things ever, but i think i need to try it! but why would you make a ravioli of butter and sugar?

Yeah you'd think, but its actually pretty good once you try it. One day I was hungry and all we had was bread, sugar, and butter so this is what I made :P
