I have regular speakers running through an old receiver, connected to my computer with a cable (or adapter) from radioshack which has the standard headphone jack at one end and the rca white and red left / right at the other. You can usually get a receiver which works fine for this purpose at goodwill or similar charity shop for about $10 and the cable costs around $4. the receiver means you also get a nice big volume knob to use too.

Also try your local Pawn Shop. I just picked up a nice little receiver for $20

poly fill is just like cotton only it is made out of blends or some times just pure polyestere cotton would work just fine

poly fill is what is in pillows and stuffed animals. if you go to anywhere that sells sewing supplies you should be able to find it. it comes in a bag that looks like cotton candy, only white. cotton balls may work but you'll be better off with some type of poly fill. cotton balls may be to dense. not positive on that one.

what kind of audio cable is that? is there any kind of adapter to change it to a regular headphone cable and jack for my mp3 player or computer without using a receiver?

what was the reasoning behind fiberfilling?
Nov 13, 2008. 11:34 AMits_paul says:
It helps with the acoustics of the closure that the speaker sits in. The polyfill basically slows down the sound waves to mimic a larger enclosure. You use polyfill when your enclosure does not have enough volume, IE it sounds better, richer, deeper etc..
