Music Visualizer (oscilloscope)

Step 3Putting in the Music

Putting in the Music
The visualizer is basically another speaker for whatever amplification your using you may not want to use your most expensive amplifier
an average stereo or a guitar amplifier should do nicely or an amplifier from some computer
speakers.

*theres no polarity for this either
put the coil in series with a speaker on your system if the volume has to be way up to get the line to move decently put the coil in Parallel with the speaker

Great tutorial! I want to run a mic into the vertical coil, then place the mic in front of a guitar amplifier. Can I just split a regular mic cable and attach it to the coil, or would I need some other kind of cable?

Hey, how exactly do I hook up an amplifier? It works, but it's really hard to see unless the music is loud, so it'd be nice to amp it up.

OK. I know virtuallity nothing about, well, electricty in general. What is the easiest way to take the music that would be coming out of the speakers of my guitar amp, and connect it to the television in a way that would allow me to play my guitar, and see it on the the screen. Please reply, this oscilloscope idea looks really neat.

Sweet amplifier! What brand is it?

Just wondered, because the way the interface looks kind of reminds me of my dad's Pioneer SX-737 receiver. Our receiver from 1974 owns pretty much every stereo system on our block. That's a fact. It's powerful enough to where it could throw me into the next room, or possibly into my neighbor's backyard. Okay, that's exaggerated, but you get my point, right?
