My first ferrofluid

My first ferrofluid
This is the first ferrofluid iv made, basically from refining magnetic pond scum and mixing it with veggi oil
Basically a ferrofluid is a magnetic liquid that when in the presents of a magnetic field becomes a solid. How this works is the magnetic particles are suspended in an organic medium (the vegetable oil) there in the medium they remain separated to prevent clumping. when a magnetic field comes on the scene the particles move into a formation corresponding with the field, holding there shape as a solid.
