Now, just as easy. Concept is, replace the stock barrel(s) with a new tighter fitting barrel. Here is a list of type of barrels...

-1/2" CPVC (Yes, CPVC.)
-1/2" K&G Brass Barrel (The best of the best. Found in hobbie shops. They are used for making train tracks.)
1/2' Brass

I reccomend CPVC. Its easy to find and worksa great. But, if you know of a hobbie shop, get the brass, its amazing.

Now, its simple. Find the barrel(s) that the air comes out of, and get rid of it. Replace it with CPVC or Brass. Remeber, the shorter the barrel, the moer stable it will be, but you may loose some distance. The longer it is, the less stable, etc.

Take a look at the pictures for an example that I did. That gun is called the Night Finder and is 5 bucks in stores. Shoots a decent 50 feet.

cant find any record of a company referenced as K&G selling hobbyist metal products. closest i could find is a hobby specific company called K&S

could original poster confirm/deny weather this is the brand he was referring to?

What is the duck tape for? just to hold it in place?
May 22, 2010. 7:40 PMmattxc says:
Looks like the duct tape is to keep the barrel from moving around when you put the case back on the gun, if that makes sense.  The plastic is narrower than the hole in the casing, so the duct tape just makes it bigger and keeps it from going crooked, I believe

yeah that makes sense, i just sanded off some of the inside of the orange ring that was on the old barrel and it fits perfectly though.

wait does this dart gun shoot water??
Jan 28, 2010. 8:52 AMsprons says:
The reason it doesn't work as well with water in it is if i remember right, its near impossible to compress water. Air is all that can be compressed and when you put water in there you limit the ammount of air that can be compressed.

yea i had that water gun, used it to drench my friends and relatives, then they drenched me back after i ran out of pump.good times too bad it broke
Jun 26, 2009. 5:36 PMzwhipple says:
actually, I've done it the other way around by modding a water gun to shoot stafans. directly after the air dump valve I cut off the spout and replaced it with 7/16 inch brass. it took a ridiculously long time to pump up but I got about 70feet flat after 25 pumps. ZDW

Apr 9, 2009. 6:26 PMcodongolev says:
firefoxes live in the safari, and they sing opera. but then the (internet) explorer comes along and develops a bloated, slow moving mall there and runs them all out, and people only ever go to that mall because they're too ignorant to look for something better (like firefoxes in the safari singing opera).
Aug 5, 2009. 10:52 PMspartan 2215 says:
How do you live in a safari? That makes no sense.

whats the difference between cpvc and regular pvc pipes?
Apr 24, 2009. 9:12 PMzwhipple says:
actually, i've modded a few nerf guns and the main difference that you actually need to worry about is the measuring. PVC is measured by the inside & CPVC is measured by the outside. ex: a 1/2 CPVC coupler will fit inside of a 1/2 PVC coupler. Ready to help as always, ZDW

excuse me but what the hell is "ZDW" !?!?!?!?!
Jun 23, 2009. 3:31 PMstarwing123 says:
Then why do sch 80 pipes have a smaller internal diameter than sch 40, but the PVC pipe both have the same outer diameter
Jun 26, 2009. 5:08 PMzwhipple says:
sch 40/80 is dependent on the wall thickness/material hence 80 is thicker than 40 Ready to help as always, ZDW
