If you liked my robo-planters instructable (http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-rare-planters-re-using-home-junk/), you will like the new robo-planters I made with junk. You will see strange materials as toilet floats, a plastic box from an inflatable jetsky, damaged kitchen aiders and coffe makers, sausage and tuna cans and an industrial register. Almost everything with space for a plant could be transfor into a... ROBOPLANTER! :-)

Does anyone know where I can get some metallic clips form car lighter plugs ? I want to begin building my army uh I mean family of Robo Planters. Also went to Home Depot and couldnt find small metal angle peices. Ime a machinist and I could just make them but I dont want to involve work with pleasure but if I must make these up I guess I would.

Hi Ford. If you can't find something, replace it! Try the Out-of-the-box thinking.

THE ANGLES THE LIGHTER CLIPS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.

Thanks Venemot! And yes, are just models. Have an awesimazing day!! :-)

Although moving the legs and other body parts is very difficult you can add moter and wheels to each leg, connect it with a rc and drive it around..It is easy and cool....

Love the Robots! Do you have any tips on where to find cool parts? Also wouldn't it be cool to put an LED in the eye of the robot and make it solar powered?
Thanks for such a cool project!
M.C. Langer (author) says: Apr 2, 2011. 7:35 AM
Thanks to you Crocatiel!! Well, try looking for Flea Markets and sometimes junkyards. And talk to your family and friends, NOBODY CAN'T THROW TO THE GARBAGE ANYTHING MADE OF RIGID PLASTIC OR METAL WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!!

These are awesome! It'd be cool to have one that was motion activated. (Similar to those talking Christmas trees that use to be popular.) : D

Just to scare random people when it starts dancing/talking to them while sitting on your side table. :P
