Introduction: New Toy for My Cat "Snuggs"

I have a cat named Snuggs, she loves to keep people company when they are alone or board, and shes likes to watch movies with me. She is very friendly, however, she is very lazy and is starting to be unhealthy. I have tried many things to make her motivated and get some exercise, but nothing seems to work. I've bought cat toys with the bells in them, squeaky toys, and even toys with cat nip in them, but nothing ever seems to work. So yeah, everything I've bought for her has been a waste of money. I needed a cheap way to make her wanna play with toys and lose some weight.

I almost gave up on her and was just going let her be lazy, until one day I came home from school and saw her smacking around a toilet paper roll. However, she got board of it after a couple smacks and left it alone. Then, all of a sudden, an idea popped in my head. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a pair of scissors and cut down a couple inches on both openings on the toilet paper roll all around, folded back the tabs a little so that they stuck out a little more, and threw it at my cat. At first she just looked at it and walked away. The next morning when I woke up, I saw her in the corner of my eye smacking the toilet paper roll toy around. The thing that surprised me the most was probably the fact that she didn't get board of it in a couple of seconds. She actually played with it for like 20 minutes. Seeing her having fun and exercising makes me happy. Out of everything that she could have played with, she wanted to play with a toilet paper roll.

You don't need any special skills or talents to create this toy, plus, better yet, it doesn't cost a thing but a toilet paper roll. :)

  1. Get a toilet paper roll
  2. Get a pair of scissors
  3. cut down (doesn't matter how far) on both openings all around
  4. fold back tabs so that they stick out more
  5. Give it to your cat and enjoy :)
