Inspired by the popularity of the No-Sew Duct Tape Wallet and the No-Sew Duct Tape Zipper Pouch, I decided to create a No-Sew Duct Tape iPhone Case!  Of course, you can modify this style to fit any phone, or use it for something else entirely.  This version is the simplest of them all, and a great introduction to the rest of the series!

This project is inspired by  Simply Sublime Bags by Jodi Kahn

For this project you need:
  • Fabric - size determined by the size of your phone, but 8x10 is a good default
  • Duct tape
  • Stapler
  • Staples
  • Scissors

I found your instructable, and thought it was the perfect idea for the Christmas season! So I decided to make a bunch as presents for people using peppermint fabric. They turned out really nice! :)

I was looking for immediate protection for my brand new iPhone 5, and this worked great! Now if I can only find a way to make one to protect it from kid drops! ;)

I forgot to mention materials. The fabric was in a discount basket at Walmart (less than $3) and the Duct tape was at the big W. too.

I just bought neoprene fabric to make a rain guard for my backpack and had plenty extra, so it was perfect to make a waterproof phone case. Plus, i have awesome mustache duck tape handy for all occasions, so i appreciate the accessibility of items needed for this project. Thanks for sharing this wonderful idea! :)

Here we go! I didn't have any velcro on hand so I just used some elastic to hold it together.

This is too cool! Incredibly convenient for those times when the only thing you need is your phone and maybe a credit card or some cash.... no need to carry a bulky wallet or a purse!
