No Sew Fleece Blanket

Step by Step instructions to make a No-Sew Fleece blanket, brought to you by Bunyworks.net. Your blanket can be any size. Fleece comes 60-inches wide, so your blanket can be 60 x ??? Your finished product will be about 10-inches smaller than the fabric you start with.

Step 1: Choose the fabric

Choose a print and a contrasting or matching solid. I like to use strong, bold contrasts. You will need a solid and a print that are the same size. My sample uses a nice dark hunter green for the back.

You need to download the instructable first. Then print as you would any other document. There are even options to leave out the table of contents, comments, etc.

what does it mean when it says if ur blkt. is square...turn top so stretch goes in opposite direction of stretch in bottom piece?? i dont get it..

square... like the length and width are the same. Tug on your fabric along the edge. You will see that the side where you cut the selvage off does not stretch as much as the adjacent side. Place the two pieces so that the stretchy edge is lined up with the not-so-stretchy side. It will give your blanket more stability and be easier to tie.

That's a really neat! I love snuggly fleece blankets, so this would be a great way of making a two-colored extra-comfy blanket for our couch :D

I did boring easy knots though, simple and pretty and warm!

Thanks for the video. The balloon knots are the best; a little difficult at first, but did get easier. My blanket looks almost as nice as yours.

I make them as baby shower gifts and Christmas gifts. SOOO easy.... I have made 3 that are much bigger - for my dad in law (RIP), and for my daugher and son in law. Dad;s was John Deere and dark green contrast. My daughters was hunting fabric on one side and creamy fluffy extra fluff cream color, my son in laws was the hunting fabric on one side and blaze orange on the other. LOL... Those three were - 108 inches by 108 inches- my son in law is 6ft 5inches, and daughter shares hers with their fur babies. My dad in law got very cold at night and his was double double layered. After his death we inherited it back which is fine - DH has lupus and Raynauds and gets cold very very easily.

Ah I love these blankets. They make for great baby shower gifts as you can make them really quick. If you are doing it for a baby shower I would suggest putting a line of stitching around the edge as you never know what this blanket could be used for and just keeps it together even better.

umm you have to buy a whole bolt of fabric? Do you guys sell anything smaller than a 12yd. bolt? I'd like to make some with a baby print and some with adult prints..
