 by Eirinn
The goal of this instructable is to make a no solder arduino breadboard shield like this one:

Step 1: You will need

Parts list:

Super glue*
Mini breadboard size 4.5x3.5 cm
Arduino pin headers**

* Hot glue wont cut it
** Normal female pin headers can also work

Optional, but recommended:

Arduino
Small clamps
Sand paper

Great Job! When I first saw the picture, I thought you had glued the breadboard directly to the arduino! Anyway, this is a great, cheap way to have a prototyping area on an arduino.

Haha thank you, I'm crazy allright, but not that crazy :o)

The main problem when making shields and prototyping is that the pin headers are displaced a bit. So unless one wants to drill a pegboard to fit it's really hard to make a quick shield.

Before i glued them together i squished the breadboard in between the headers which was... well ok, but i can't recommend this step without the glue.

Yeah, I have made countless shields that sit really weirdly on the arduino. If you bend one set of the digital pins like in this picture, they should fit in the arduino and the proto-board without any hassle. Although, these are extra long female header pins but you can do the same thing for male header pins.

Nice tip thx :)

This was the easiest way to do it for me. Etching a baord to add headers and a breadboard seemed overkill when all i had to do was to add some glue :)

Watch out for getting glue into the female headers on the arduino, it's not fun to get out.

Yes this is true! If not impossible - maybe i should write a warning...
