The main problem when making shields and prototyping is that the pin headers are displaced a bit. So unless one wants to drill a pegboard to fit it's really hard to make a quick shield.
Before i glued them together i squished the breadboard in between the headers which was... well ok, but i can't recommend this step without the glue.
This was the easiest way to do it for me. Etching a baord to add headers and a breadboard seemed overkill when all i had to do was to add some glue :)
