Introduction: No Cut - No Measuring Origami Style 10 X 15cm Envelope From an A4 Paper

You know the deal, you have a really fancy card and you really hate the idea of sending it in an ordinary dull envelope. And you just happen to have a really beautiful piece of paper in A4 size...
No cutting or measuring required. I guess a piece of tape would be useful if you actually send this in the mail.

I take no responsability for items lost in the mail if using this envelope!

Step 1: Items Needed

1. A fancy card 10 x 15 cm
2. A very beautiful A4 paper
3. Knowledge of the difference between a valley fold and a mountain fold

Step 2: First Fold

Make a valley fold as seen in the picture.
Unfold.

Step 3: Second Fold

Fold short end of paper to the crease made in the previous step.
Unfold.

Step 4: Third Fold

Fold short end of paper to the crease made in the previous step.
DO NOT unfold.

Step 5: Keep Folding

1. Turn folded short side of paper to the left. Make a valley fold by putting long sides of paper together.
Unfold.

2. Fold long side of paper to the crease made in the previous step.
Unfold.

3. Fold long side of paper to the crease made in the previous step.
DO NOT unfold.

4. Turn folded short side of paper to the right. Repeat 2-3.

Step 6: More Folding

1. Turn the folded short side paper away from you.

2. Fold the other short side to the middle crease.
Unfold.

3. Fold long side of paper to the crease made in the previous step.
DO NOT unfold

4. Turn paper 180 degrees.

5. Insert fancy card as shown in picture.

Step 7: The Complicated Part

Now insert bottom part of paper (folded) into top fold.

The bottom should me inserted between side flaps which locks the construction.

Step 8: Finished!

As you have realized, the sides of this envelope are open, but holds a 10x15card perfectly.

If I was to actually mail this I would use some tape.

Good luck!

Very helpful thanks :) Thinking of using this as a party invite, but rather than the card, use the original paper as the invite :)
