Introduction: Notecard Tomahawk That You Can Throw!!

When I saw the origami and paper craft contest. I knew exactly what I wanted to post. I made this design all by my self. I didn't copy anyone that I know of.

The Materials you need:

Notecards DUH!! you need about 8 or so. I used note cards that had writing on them because I didn't want to waste any note cards.

Pencil to make marks

Tape

Scissors

Step 1: The Head!!

Draw the shape of a tomahawk head on one of the note cards like in picture 1.

Then cut it out.

Then trace the tomahawk head on another note card.

Then cut the second one out also.

DON'T THROW AWAY THE LEFT OVER SCRAP. LOL We will use it for the next step.

Step 2: Adding Support

Fold the scraps in half like in picture 2.

Cut the bottom part like in picture 3.

Place the remaining pieces on top of each other like in picture 5. Then place it on the head of the tomahawk. Then tape it down to the head.

Step 3: Making the Handle.

Get another note card and then measure the handle of the tomahawk and then mark it on the note card like in picture 2.

Fold on the line that you have marked on the note card like in picture 3.

Keep folding it until you have a bar of paper.

Tape the bar of paper so it doesn't open up.

Then take another note card and wrap it around the paper bar and tape it closed again.

Repeat the last step again and this time tape the ends of the paper bar so that the previous bar doesn't slide out.

You have just created the handle of the tomahawk.

Step 4: Time to Make the Weight and Main Support of the Head of the Tomahawk

Take a note card and draw a line on the third line from the top including the red line.

Then start folding.

Keep folding it until you have a bar of paper.

Tape the bar of paper so it doesn't open up.

Then take another note card and wrap it around the paper bar and tape it closed again.

Repeat the last step again and this time tape the ends of the paper bar so that the previous bar doesn't slide out.

Now you are done with the main support.

Step 5:

Arrange the two bars so that the wider bar is going horizontally across the head of the tomahawk and place the handle where you like it if you want it long move it down and if you want it short move it up.

Then mark where the two bars intersect like in picture 2.

Cut on the marked line.

Keep the bigger half of the bar and tape the end you cut.

Step 6: Tape the Insides Together.

Tape the horizontal bar on to the head first.

Then tape the handle on the the head like in picture 2.

When your done taping it should look like picture 3.

Step 7: Tape the Outside Together.

Tape the other half of the head on. Then draw the holes on it.

Then tape up the whole thing so you don't feel any paper when you touch it.

Step 8: Finishing Touches

Then cut the tip of the handle to make it pointy.

Then finally tape up where you cut it.

Step 9: Info

Don't be afraid to throw this thing. It wont break. If you throw it outside it can go pretty high.
