Nudist Colony Halloween Costume

These nudist suits were great fun to make and wear together, though I imagine going solo is just as easy and fun. We decided we wanted our features to be exaggerated and cartooned for hilarity-sake, and we each customized our own suit. The other wonderful thing about this costume is that we were able to wear clothes beneath the suits, so we could stay warm in Chicago's October night. 

We each bought our own skin-toned full length leotards from Discount Dance Supply, and shared in some extra skin-toned lycra/spandex fabric and polyester stuffing. Other supplies we used were hot glue, nylon, cuttings from an extra wig, paint, and beads.... this depends on your gender and look you want. 

For the breasts, I basically made a breast-shaped pillow that was sewn on at the shoulders and under the armpits. I left the top open, so I could add more stuffing and add the nipples. Because the fabric is stretchy, no one noticed it wasn't sewn all the way. The guys used nylon stockings for their over-endowed parts, and filled them with stuffing and pipe cleaners for extra texture. The nipples were also made in a variety of ways: mine were made using T corks: I cut the holes in my breast pillow large enough for the cork part to come through but not the top, so I didn't need glue or tape. It was then painted. Others were made using beads sewn onto the suit, or beads tied behind a circular piece of fabric and then that is sewn on. I made my belly button in a similar way... I grabbed a bead from the inside of the suit and tied a string around it, so it looked like I had an "innie". 

Body hair was hot glued on. Other embellishments were liver/age spots using paint and glued-on lentil beans. A dolphin tattoo was drawn on to one of our suits. And I was actually a hermaphrodite, and I added two small beads onto a string and tied it on in its appropriate location. The success of the night was actually grossing a dude out!
