Step 1: Right Click Taskbar > Properties

Right-click in the middle of the taskbar at the bottom of the screen (not inside system tray at bottom right).

Click "properties"

Step 2: Click "Customize"

Step 3: Hide the Prompt

This is where you can select an icon that appears and choose to hide it. Find the Windows 10 prompt and select "hide" from dropdown menu.

just move (or delete) the contents of the folder c /windows/system32/gwx

True! Although if Microsoft changes the update name again would the folder reinstall? Maybe a non-power user would want to leave it installed but just hide the advertisement.

You bet! I may add a fourth optional step that lists the exact Windows update to either block or uninstall (ends in 5583 if my memory serves me...and it usually doesn't).
