Introduction: Nutella Brownies | Three Ingredients

Picture of Nutella Brownies | Three Ingredients

I am about to change your life. I am about to make you the happiest person on the planet. I am about to show you how to make brownies with only three ingredients, and I am going to exploit the inherent fantastical properties of Nutella in doing so.

See, Nutella already has fat, milk, and chocolate in it. Since those are the things you would normally be adding to traditional brownies separately, why not use a product that already has these things - and hazelnuts! See, you knew Nutella was amazing. But maybe you didn't realize its full potential. Until today - the day you met three-ingredient Nutella brownies.

Go. Make these. Now.

  • 1 cup (280g) Nutella
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 tbsp (62g) flour

  1. Put it in a bowl. Mash it up. Pour into a pan or muffin tin. (I used a mini muffin tin lined with paper cups). Top with hazelnuts if you're feeling extra fancy. Bake at 350F (180C) for around 30 minutes (less time for cupcake form, more time if the centers aren't baked through).

That's it. You're done. Eat them. Revel. Be amazed.

You're welcome.

GXMZY_ made it! (author)2016-11-24

those were amazing I moved it! I also got some kinder Bueno bars and opened them to take the spread from the inside and add/mix it with my dough, and then I crushed the leftover kinder wafer to mix it within. it was so good! ?

Your measurements are not accurate, I followed the recipe but it came out more like a cake than brownie. I discovered that 62 grams was actually 2 tablespoons and not 10 as you stated.

AnitaS70 (author)2016-10-15

I made this today and it tastes yummy i followed the exact recepie.

We had so much fun whilst making these amazing Nutella brownies!! although my daughter wanted to make peanut butter editions so she then melted peanut butter, although left the plastic on the sachets and blew up our microwave! wouldn't make these again but only due to our experience, they tasted wonderful :)

probably the greatest reward/effort baking experience ever...

i scaled up using:

- 3 jumbo eggs

- 82g bread flour

- 365g nutella (one 13oz jar)

also threw in 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chunks and finished off by smearing peanut butter on top. yielded moist and not too "cakey" brownies. will make again, thanks!

Let me start off and admit I only tried Nutella this week andrealized I've been missing out. Then I started Pinterest searching recipes and found this. I read many reviews so I did make a few changes. I also made half the recipe. DELICIOUS!!! Wish I would have made more but I'm trying to be good lol. Changes as follows:

1/2 (dry measure) cup Nutella, 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/3 almond milk, 1 egg, 3 T all purpose flour, 2 T ground flaxseed (makes me feel healthier to add fiber), 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp baking soda and pinch of baking powder. Muffin tin 6 cups, 350F, 22 mins, topped with Nutella and an icing made with powdered sugar, milk vanilla extract and a lil cream cheese. Yummy. Will be making again.

I added 1/2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 2/3 cups of milk. Can't just stop It''s so fluffy and yummy!

DoodlesxxClarke (author)2016-02-07

Made it and it worked fine. Added 3 eggs though. I just took them out of the oven and they look really nice?

RedFox3 made it! (author)2015-10-25

absolutely delicious I loved

them they were warm and gooey in the insides ???

KristiR3 (author)2015-08-29

I made these today for my husband, but after reading the comments, I altered the recipe a bit. I added 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1/3c milk. I wish I had added a teaspoon of just needed a little something. I baked 6 jumbo muffins for 20 minutes, and they were quite done but not burnt. They were nice and fluffy like a cake. I put some more Nutella on top while they were still warm.

What type of flour is used? I assume self raising, but I'm not sure

Lilianas100luv made it! (author)2015-07-13

Yummy my daughter loves it!!!

JuliaA5 (author)2015-06-21

I made these and they were delicious! however, my batter was very thick and dry, so i added a little canola oil and water to get it to the right consistency before baking. I made brownies and they came out great.

thegrendel (author)2015-06-09

Bravo! Now, if there were only such a thing as dark chocolate Nutella ...

sherly.w.trc (author)2014-09-08

Do we need a baking powder to make the cake rise? -.-??

I used self raising flour and it seemed to be ok. I may add a little baking powder next time, but I guess that defeats the 3 ingredient object :D

AdetounS (author)ChronicCrafter2015-05-18

sounds yummy... do you mind sharing how you modified it into a cake recipe. ..I presume the cake version will be fluffy in comparidon to brownie..thanks in advance

made these today and they came out fine and tastes great!

pearl.b.kathabekhulu (author)2015-03-02

do you use self raising flour or just normal baking powder. I would like to try this recipe asap.

laurachristina.stead made it! (author)2015-02-26

I literally have just taken my now a tray bake soon to be a batch out of the oven. Your recipe doesnt state what kind o flour so I used self raising with a tbsp of corn flour. I modded this further by adding a third egg, making the ten tbsp of flour to fifteen, got the hubby to all shell a load of mixed nuts we had sitting about and raided my sons stash of chocolate left over from Christmas and threw in a Cadbury Fudge, a Chomp, a Dairy Milk, a packet of buttons, half a Thorntons Santa, a hand full of mini snowmen from Tesco and some white chocolate coins.

Thanks for the recipe

robinfowler2 (author)2015-02-16

Seriously the best ever nutella recipe. Here's my question: if I use the entire 13 oz jar of Nutella, how many eggs and how much flour? I'm guessing 3 eggs and 12-15 T flour but I would sure appreciate your official verdict!

betty.gomez.547 (author)2015-02-16

Can I use rice flour instead? Will I get the same "yummy" results?

CharleyS1 (author)2015-02-11

i halfed the ingredients and put them in a cupcake maker and they are weird

RyanLind (author)2015-02-04

Ive been very naughty, I have used Cadbury Chocolate Spread! I will inform you all of the outcome!

linda.potestio (author)2015-01-08

Costco sells restaurant size jars of Nutella. They come wrapped in two jars YUMMMY!!

TX_MrPickles made it! (author)2015-01-07

This was THE easiest recipe! I followed it exactly and used all the batter, evenly for 6 cupcakes! Only adjusted my baking time to 25 min and they came out perfect! So delicious!! Thank you!! (author)2014-12-20

topannetan made it! (author)2014-12-06

Why my nutella brownies turned out to be like that? Is it because I used an electric mixer to mix them together?

becg686 (author)topannetan2014-12-16

if your oven is fan-forced it would affect the cooking time. to me, they look like the oven was up too high or they were in too long.

Laurence-MayL (author)2014-12-10

i wanted my life changed instead i got brownies.... downvoted

davidbarcomb (author)2014-12-03

Wow simple but really good. Thanks

sofaliser (author)2013-12-20

How can I tweak this to be more cupcakey? And Is it possible to add cocoa powder? Thank you!

D3rpyUn1c0rn5 (author)sofaliser2014-11-13

I triedthis a while back, Ialso added cocoa powder, came out fine :)

AlexJRe made it! (author)2014-10-05

I tried to make them as instructed but mine didn't work out - I'm guessing that the brownie procedure is a bit different :-(

YOUgNeek (author)2012-10-14

Great recipe! The only thing I will add is that if you make this recipe for 12 brownie bites in a muffin tin, then bake for only 22 minutes. Oh, calorie information is 182 calories each (if serving 12). They are da bomb when I fill a syringe with melted nutella (and a tiny bit of butter) and inject some in the middle for an additional flavor explosion!

debi2wallace (author)YOUgNeek2014-10-04

Oh that bit about injecting nutella and butter is just downright diabolical! LOL You KNOW I have to try that now! ;)

jeanuhlik (author)YOUgNeek2012-10-18

Only one word: !!!!!WOW!!!!!

debi2wallace (author)2014-10-04

I am wondering if the issue some are having with the brownies not rising quite as much as those picture might be an altitude issue? I remember from waaaay back when I lived in the Rocky Mountains that recipes had to be adjusted -- especially when it comes to baking. Seems like it was more levening agent and adjusting the oven temperature and/or cooking time. I don't remember the specifics, but they should be easy enough to find with a quick google search.

I may try these later today! Been craving brownies!
