I am about to change your life.  I am about to make you the happiest person on the planet.  I am about to show you how to make brownies with only three ingredients.  And I am going to exploit the inherent fantastical properties of Nutella in doing so.

See, Nutella already has fat, milk, and chocolate in it.  Since those are the things you would normally be adding to traditional brownies separately, why not use a product that already has these things - and hazelnuts!  See, you knew Nutella was amazing.  But maybe you didn't realize its full potential.  Until today - the day you met three-ingredient Nutella brownies.

Go.  Make these. Now. 

  • 1 cup (280g) Nutella
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 tbsp (62g) flour

  1. Put it in a bowl. Mash it up.  Pour into a pan or muffin tin.  Top with hazelnuts if you're feeling extra fancy.  Bake at 350F (180C) for around 30 minutes (less time for cupcake form, more time if the centers aren't baked through). 

That's it. You're done. Eat them.  Revel. Be amazed.

I literally have just taken my now a tray bake soon to be a batch out of the oven. Your recipe doesnt state what kind o flour so I used self raising with a tbsp of corn flour. I modded this further by adding a third egg, making the ten tbsp of flour to fifteen, got the hubby to all shell a load of mixed nuts we had sitting about and raided my sons stash of chocolate left over from Christmas and threw in a Cadbury Fudge, a Chomp, a Dairy Milk, a packet of buttons, half a Thorntons Santa, a hand full of mini snowmen from Tesco and some white chocolate coins.

Seriously the best ever nutella recipe. Here's my question: if I use the entire 13 oz jar of Nutella, how many eggs and how much flour? I'm guessing 3 eggs and 12-15 T flour but I would sure appreciate your official verdict!

Can I use rice flour instead? Will I get the same "yummy" results?

Costco sells restaurant size jars of Nutella. They come wrapped in two jars YUMMMY!!

This was THE easiest recipe! I followed it exactly and used all the batter, evenly for 6 cupcakes! Only adjusted my baking time to 25 min and they came out perfect! So delicious!! Thank you!!

Why my nutella brownies turned out to be like that? Is it because I used an electric mixer to mix them together?


if your oven is fan-forced it would affect the cooking time. to me, they look like the oven was up too high or they were in too long.

Great recipe! The only thing I will add is that if you make this recipe for 12 brownie bites in a muffin tin, then bake for only 22 minutes. Oh, calorie information is 182 calories each (if serving 12). They are da bomb when I fill a syringe with melted nutella (and a tiny bit of butter) and inject some in the middle for an additional flavor explosion!

Oh that bit about injecting nutella and butter is just downright diabolical! LOL You KNOW I have to try that now! ;)

I am wondering if the issue some are having with the brownies not rising quite as much as those picture might be an altitude issue? I remember from waaaay back when I lived in the Rocky Mountains that recipes had to be adjusted -- especially when it comes to baking. Seems like it was more levening agent and adjusting the oven temperature and/or cooking time. I don't remember the specifics, but they should be easy enough to find with a quick google search.

I may try these later today! Been craving brownies!

I made this today, but forgot to take a photograph before the family devoured it. I ended up making it into a cake and serving it hot with ice cream; delicious!

Do we need a baking powder to make the cake rise? -.-??

I used self raising flour and it seemed to be ok. I may add a little baking powder next time, but I guess that defeats the 3 ingredient object :D

I measured everything with a scale and my muffins didn't come out nearly as big as the ones in your pictures. And I only got 10 and they were still noticeably smaller. I only cooked them for 20 minutes and they could have probably come out a minute or so earlier. Still tasted pretty good but not sure why theres such a difference.

I was intrigued by the three ingredients recipe. I had on hand a little bit of Jif left. I decided to add 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter, what a delightful addition it was . The recipe yielded 11 full size cupcakes. I used a cookie scoop to fill the cups using two scoops per cupcake rapper. The baking time that I use was 13 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees, any longer and you will have a very dry cake. Next time I will try it with out the peanut butter and use in a little bit of rum extract in a few tablespoons of cocoa powder.

I just made these - my kind of baking!! I made them in small muffin cups (with paper) and baked for 23 minutes and they turned out fabulous!! I have a renewed confidence for baking!!

Turned out great for my party in mini muffin tins. I didn't time it. I just kept an eye on them.

Do you have the calorie and nutritional values? Per cupcake totaling 16 cupcakes in all. I came up with 127 calories per cupcake, but just want to make sure. :)

I've tried this recipe but my brownies didn't rise enough like yours, im not from U.S and in my supermarket i couldn't find nutella so i used another type of nutella, it wasn't exactly nutella so im wondering if thats the reason why, please help me
