Office Booby trap

Step 8Making the Firing-Latch

Making the Firing-Latch
This is the part of the Booby Trap that hooks onto the stretched Rubber Band until the trip wire is pulled.

You create this by bending your last Paper Clip in half, bending the end so that it forms a hook and then bending the two ends in on each other.
You can then attach it to the empty arms and tighten the loops you created in the last Step.

View the pictures below to gain a full understanding of what you need to do with the Paper Clip.
To adjust the sensitivty of your Booby Trap you simply change the angle of the hook.

I got it with needle nose pliers, and the silver kind of paper clips. In the end it worked, but was very flimsy (loose), so i Super Glued the F#ck out of it... Now i've got a sturdy construction.

On a side note, i'm running out of thumb tacks, any other objects i can shoot? Like moar paperclips? Any ideas?

You make a valid point. My old math teacher called our homework "practice" and every time he said the word "practice" in class, we were expected to simultaneously respond with, "Practice makes perfect!" I am by no means perfect at algebra. Practice merely makes improvements and builds confidence.

An old teacher that I had used to say "Practice makespermanent"- meaning whatever you practice will become your norm.

Practice making good bends, and good bends will be your norm.

Nov 9, 2009. 1:13 PMbassclarinet23 says:
Then you need to refine your skills without officially practicing?
