Introduction: Onion Pakoda
-Onion pakodas can be a good finger food and are prepared easily.
-2 sliced onions(cut them long and thin)
-Finely chopped ginger(small inch)
-One and half cup chick pea flour(Besan)
-one tbsp corn flour
-Red chilli powder
-Pinch of turmeric powder
-salt for taste
-Few curry leaves
-Very little water
Step 1: Keep All Ingredients Ready
-Cut onions thin, long and transfer to bowl.Add finely chopped curry leaves and ginger to it.
Step 2: Squeezing
-After transferring onions,ginger curry leaves to bowl.Next step is to just squeeze onions in same bowl.
Step 3: Add Flour
-After squeezing add one and half cup chick pea flour to it.
Step 4: Add Spices
-Add pinch of turmeric,red chilli powder,salt for taste.
Step 5: Add Corn Flour
- Next add a table spoon of corn flour and mix everything so that all spices are mixed with flour.
Step 6: Preparing Batter
-After mixing if its too crumbled just sprinkle little water slowly and see that flour gets coated with onion slices. If needed sprinkle little more water
(Dont add large quantity of water. sprinkle water until flour gets coated with slices and mix.)
Step 7: Frying
-Slowly take small dumplings and fry by spreading in oil.when color changes to light brown color remove them.
Step 8: Serve With Sauce
-Serve this hot onion pakodas with tomato sauce.
