Introduction: Origami Kunai

Ever wanted to become a ninja during the middle of class or your workday... Well now you can with a simple paper kunai!

Step 1: Getting a Square Peice of Paper

Fold the top corner of your paper down to form a triangular shape with some excess paper on the bottom. Tear or cut this waste paper away.

Step 2: Getting the Main Folds

Fold your paper in half both ways and then diagonally once.

Step 3: Starting the Kunai

Fold the corner of the paper slightly over the middle onto one of the lines so it reaches the point but is over the middle.

Unfold and fold the same corner so it runs directly along the middle.

Repeat on other side of the paper

Step 4: Forming Basic Shape #1

Re-fold your first fold and reverse your second fold. Then fold the part that over hangs the edge into the middle.

Do this on both sides.

Step 5: Basic Shape #2

Flip the shape over and fold it point to point in half.

Unfold.

Step 6: Basic Shape #3

This bit is hard to explain so you will NEED the images to do this step.

Fold from the middle the points into a triangle so you have a piece standing up.

Fold that piece down to get that shape.

Step 7: Basic Shape #4

Fold I half of the diamond in the middle over.

Fold it so that the 2 corners on the outside reach the middle.

Unfold and fold in underneath the triangle up the top.

Repeat on both sides.

Step 8: Basic Shape #5

Turn shape over and fold back part up as far as possible.

Fold the sides of that shape in then fold the triangle on the top down.

Fold the sides in once more.

Step 9: Extra Things

Fold the tail of the kunai in half.

Unfold and fold down at a right angle.

Fold that part in half so it’s thinner than the handle.

Fold it around however you see best to make the circle.
(I had to do his on a sperate piece of paper because the picture didn’t quite make sense)
