Introduction: Origami Ladybug

About: I worship rock and roll. It has lasted for decades, and will continue. There are so many different subgenres that almost anybody can be satisfied with it. I also love the wilderness, and am learning primitive …

This model is from the book, The Joy of Origami, by Margaret Van Sicklen. If you need help, please refer to my Instructable, Origami Bases and Basics. Please enjoy your ladybug!

Step 1: Fold

Start with your paper angled like mine. Fold in half downwards.

Step 2: Fold and Unfold

Fold in half, left to right, and unfold.

Step 3: Fold Corners Down

Fold the right corner down, so that the top touches the middle crease, but so that the bottom, the tip, is angled away. Do a mirror on the left.

Step 4: Pleat

Pleat means fold backwards, and then forwards. I did this on this model by folding the tip down, flipping it over, then folding a little below to make the head.

Step 5: Round the Edges

Flip it back over and fold the right ,left, and bottom corners in, just a little bit to make the edges a bit more round.

Step 6: And You're Done!

If you want to, you can draw spots.
