Mine is ok, but it has the battery connectors which does not works and I have to keep it on the power plug. It's not anymore a PSP. It's a PSS (P-S-Sh**)

check out this instructable it for the psp that cannot b hacked cuz of there motherboard! but it is hacked now and really simple!

Anyway my point is that these tutorials are noobish and there are not enough.

I Have never done an instructable befor but would be glad to do some for the Psp,There are 100's of tutorials on the web but they are not always specific,I have been doing this for a while now and know what works and what doesnt along with the best way to do it specifically for the psp slim on cfw 4.01m33 and also the phat psp on any firmware.

I Use Pandoras Battery Its The Best Way,Lemme Know If You Would Like A More Detailed Instructable On How To Install Any CFW Using PSP And How to use its plugins.

Okay,This weekend i am going to do the same as i have done to mine to a friends psp so i shall document my steps.If i dont get the time i will eventully put together an instructable and let you know when its up,in the mean time their are 1000's of tutorials on all of the above all over the web so it might be worth doing some research.

And i will just say that i used something called a Pandora's battery which cost me £10 from the internet.

I will post the link but i just thought id let you know it does involve spending some money.

I know a psp sounds like a ps2 but it's a little less powerfull... and you want to add a program that runs a cd (i'm sorry DVD) drive plus a program that runs ps2 games??? that's a bit unreal... sorry
that would make the psp run slow as a 286 pc with windows me installed

just try to make your ps2 portable!!! i've seen this before... (can't remember where sorry)

short answer, hard drive and psp are both slave devices. you need a master device to run a hard drive. impossible.

the only kind of drive you can add to a psp is a photofast compact flash drive slot with 2 compact flash cards (up to 32gb) that will take the space of your psp disc drive (if you want it to be inside) if it fits...

also... you say you have a psp 3000??? you probably know by now that the only way you can play homebrew games is with a chick-hen (homebrew enabler program) cause your motherboard is unhackable for now... :( no pandora...

a psp is a slave device and cannot control a hard drive (slave too) even a usb drive. and i don't know how to tell the psp to act like a master device...

so, no use putting a hdd in a psp for now... just wait a couple months for a hack for your psp 3000 or keep it that way for playstation network games or infrastructure mode and get an older psp to hack and mod...

P.S. the photofast cr 3100 or 5100 (can't remember) is a mod worth well over 100$ witch is the price of a used psp-1000 that you can hack for free!!! think about it!!!!!!!

yep. pretty much any custom firmware can run iso's. the problem is getting it on there. you're going to need either a friend with a hacked psp or some skills with electronics to get that on there. look it up, it's really not that hard. http://tinyurl.com/3x38vy8

Firmware 6.20 can use a system called the Half Byte Loader. You will need to download Patapon 2 demo and the HBL system. If Anyone wants me to make an instructable on this one, I can try.

im trying to take off the custom firmware and put on the official again because my friend has my psp with updated firmware and my psp is the only one that can play "monster hunter freedom unite" since i guess for firmware reasons. So, i have his sorry a** psp while he has my psp. his psp specs are: . 3.6v 3600mAH battery, (not the standard 1800mAH sony one) . idk what firmware, or what custom firmware is on there . its a Psp 1001 idk were the firmware is so i cant get rid of it! not only so, i believe that the problem is sparked from the battery itself... Can anybody with a discreet knowledge of how to fix this help me? & yes, i did format the memory stick and got the software update from sony website and trried doing what they said..... which didnt work....

you have to get custom firmware (cracked Operation System for PSP) you have to cut open your battery if you have 2000 series or 1000.
