Introduction: PVC Chair

This instructable will teach you how to make an chair out of PVC pipe!

Step 1: Gather Materials

Materials:
2 elbow connectors
18 t-bar connectors
2 5-way connectors
6 4-Way connectors
6 3-way connectors
ruler/measuring stick
pcv cuter
sharpie
hot-glue gun
pvc pipe bender
pillow-cushion
519 inches of 1-inch pvc pipe (43.25 ft)

Step 2: Assemble the Base

Use 2 18 inch pieces of pvc pipe and attach a 3-way connector to both sides. Connect a 5 inch piece of pvc pipe to one side of each of the 3-way connectors. Attach a t-bar connector to the opposite end of all 4 5-inch pieces of pvc pipe. Attach a 2-inch piece of pvc pipe to the opposite end of both t-bar connectors. Attach a t-bar connector to both of the 2-inch connectors. Attach a 5-inch piece of pvc pipe to opposite sides of the t-bar connectors attached to both 2-inch pieces. Finally, connect all pieces using all sides of the 3-way connectors.

Step 3: Connect the Legs

Connect 8 18-inch pieces of pvc pipe to all connectors on the base. All legs should be facing upwards from the base. There should not be any empty slots on any of the connectors on the base.

Step 4: Assemble the Seat

Connect a 3-way connector to 2 of the legs that are parallel to the side its' base is on. Connect 3 t-bar connectors together with 2 inches of pvc pipe in between them. Do this again for the parallel side and connect all the t-bar connectors together with 6 18-inch pieces of pvc pipe.

Step 5: Bend PVC Pipe for Backrest

Use pvc pipe-bender to assemble 2 5-inch pieces of pvc pipe with about a 20-degree angle. Attach these pieces to the t-bar from the base facing upwards.

Step 6: Assemble the Backrest

Connect 6 t-bar connectors together with 2 inches of pvc pipe in between them. Do this again for the parallel side and connect all the t-bar connectors together with 6 18-inch pieces of pvc pipe. Use 2 elbow connectors at the top and connect them together with an 18-inch piece of pvc pipe.

Step 7: Bend PVC Pipe for Armrest

Use the PVC pipe-bender to bend 2 2-feet pieces of PVC pipe. When flexible enough, Attach the PVC pipe to both t-bar connectors on the backrest and on the seat and bend them so they connect.

***TIP***
The armrest makes the entire chair more durable and stronger. Feel free to use hot glue gun to strengthen the armrest to the chair.

Step 8: Strengthen Entire Chair

Once everything is connected, hammer all pieces of the chair to guarantee the chair will stay together.

Step 9: Add Extra Support

Feel free to add extra legs to the chair to make the chair stronger and more durable.
