PVC Pipe Air Cannon

PVC Pipe Air Cannon

A cannon made out of PVC Pipe which shoots over 375 feet (115 metres).

This is a very simple project to make. All the components came from my local hardware store. I already had an air compressor at home, but if you don't have one, then you could use a hand bicycle pump.

What you need:

1 x Length of Pressure PVC Pipe (I used a 1 metre x 40mm piece)
The 'pressure' bit just means that it's thicker. you can use the thinner stuff if you want, but it might break

2 x Pressure Caps

Glue (plumbers glue or other strong glue)

Air Compressor or Bicycle Pump

I would like to suggest that all high pressure air cannon instructables should include a warning such as:

"These high pressure air weapons can shoot things fast enough to cause severe injuries or death. Never use them to shoot things at people."

no offence , but this is pretty stupid. all you have to to is put a ball valve in the middle of those pipes and you have real cannon!
