Introduction: Pac-Man Ghost Hat

This project is fairly simple, but looks really nice. It's the Pac-Man ghost Clyde, who was always my favorite growing up. This pattern can be adapted to make any of the four ghosts.

Step 1: Materials

1) Orange (or Red/Pink/Cyan) yarn, white yarn, blue yarn.
2) Size J (10) crochet hook.
3) Yarn darning needle.
4) Scissors.

Step 2: The Hat

This follows the same pattern as all my other hats.

The Hat
sc = Single Crochet
hdc = Half Double Crochet
st = stich(es)
dec = decreasing stitch

Rnd 1: Magic Ring with 4sc
Rnd 2: 2 hdc in each sc (8 st)
Rnd 3: 2 hdc in each sc (16 st)
Rnd4: (hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (24 st)
Rnd 5: (hdc in next 2 st, 2 hdc in next) repeat around (32 st)
Rnd 6: (hdc in next 3 st, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (40 st)
Rnd 7: (hdc in next 4, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (48 st)
Rnd 8: (hdc in next 5 st, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (56 st)
Rnd 9: (hdc in next 6 st, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (64 st)
Rnd 10: (hdc in next 31 st, 2 hdc in next st) repeat around (66 st)
Rnd 11-20: hdc in every st (66 st)

Step 3: The Legs

This pattern portion is adapted from my Chain Chomp Hat.

The Legs

Row 1: In first stich, slip stich one and sc in same st. Sc in every st for 11 st. (11)
Row 2: Chain 1, turn, 2 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc (9)
Row 3: Chain 1, turn, 2 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc (7)
Row 4: Chain 1, turn, 1sc, 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc (5)
Row 5: Chain 1, turn, 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec (3)
Row 6: Chain 1, turn, 1 sc, 1 dec (2)
Row 7: Chain 1, turn, 1 dec (1)
FO

Repeat this step around the bottom of the hat, until you end up with 6 legs in total. Each leg should have a base of 11 stitches.

Step 4: The Eyes

The Whites

Rnd 1: Magic circle with 8 sc (8)
Rnd 2: 2sc in every sc (16)
Rnd 3: (2sc in first sc, then 1sc in next stitch) repeat around (24)
Rnd 4: (2sc in first sc, then 1 sc in next two stitchs) repeat around (32)
FO

The Pupils

Rnd 1: Magic circle with 8 sc (8)
Rnd 2: 2sc in every sc (16)
FO

Attach the pupils on top of the eyes with your yarn darning needle. The pupils should face in any of the cardinal directions (straight up, straight down, straight to the left, straight to the right).

Then, attach the white of the eyes to the body of the hat. Sew in the loose ends and you are done!
