If you have FCS (fin control system) or lokbox, or any other removeable fin system remove them and throw them in you boardbag's fin pouch. You are done! Throw your board in it's bag and take it to the airport. However if you have glass-on fins you will need to make sure they don't decide to snad off when the board is tossed out of a baggage cart and then stepped on.

So. Slip on those tennis balls.

Then cut your dowel or stiff cardboard cylinder to span exactly the length between your two side fins.

Throw on as much tape as is needed. (more is better)

Your center fin really doesn't require that much stabilization as it's the cant on your side fins that makes them more likely to be damaged. But tape that tennis ball on the center fin anyways.

Now jam a towel in between all your fins and, once gain, tape away!
