You probably won't believe this one, but trust me, you got to try it. This is helpful because it's instant and you can use it anywhere, at home or outdoors. It's something everyone should know!!

Step 1: Materials

You're almost done..

1. The smallest potato you have.

2. Knife

Step 2: Slicing

1. Cut a small piece of one end of the potato. (pic. 1)

2. Cut out some of the wet part of the potato, so that it fits the shape of your wounded area. (pic. 2,3)

Step 3: Apply It for Instant Relief!

That's it, all you have to do is apply the wet side of the potato on your burn injuries for instant relief.

You won't believe how helpfull this is. You have GOT to try it!

Now tell everyone you know about this! They can enjoy it too :)

*im not a doctor it's just a trick I know

Mustard also works amazing! Well only if its not a popped blister it takes the heat away better then ice

my mom showed that to me when i burnt my finger on an iron

I am SO gonna try this!

I have got a lot of burns before this will be so useful! I am definitely gonna try this out!!!

I've burnt my fingers many times whilst soldering, as long as it's not a open wound, there's a simple thing that is in every house that'll take away the pain, guess what? its toothpaste! smear it over your burn, it will instantly take away your pain, leave it and let it dry and that's it. No need to kill and vegetables :) ...lol

The pain from a burn comes from the difference in the air temp and the temp of the burn. Cover the burn with ANYTHING that will keep the ambient temp air from the burn. Within seconds to a minute the pain is gone. I personally know this after suffering 3rd degree burns twice and severe second degree burns I can't count how many times. Ice feels best but one the burn is covered......pain gone and you aren't tied down trying to hold anything on the burn.

The easiest way is to touch your lower ear with your burned fingers as soon as posible. The Ear absorb the heat in seconds. Believe me.

I hope that even though you're joking, one day my potato life hack will do you good :] see you soon on my next instructable! or yours?

Whatever you do...don't use that rusty knife for any surgical procedures!

NOW you tell me. I just removed my neighbor's appendix with a rusty knife, and sewed him up with dental floss and a porcupine quill. I just asked myself, "What would MacGuyver do?"

I think that's a reflection. I really hope so.
