Publico esto porque seguramente puede servir a alguien a ahorrarse unos pesos con poco trabajo. A mí me dio buen resultado.
En ocasión de tener que instalar la extensión eléctrica para mi nuevo taller, hice las averiguaciones del caso y me encontré con la siguiente complicación, nada inesperada por cierto: si compraba cable de dos colores, me veía obligado a gastar prácticamente el doble. Eso es porque el cable monopolo viene en rollos de 100 metros, pero también se vende suelto, pagando un precio mucho más alto. Como yo necesitaba menos de 50 metros, un solo rollo me bastaba, pero si era todo del mismo color me complicaría muchísimo hacer el tendido eléctrico.
Por lo tanto, tomé la decisión de no gastar un solo peso de más, pero tampoco renunciar a tener perfectamente individualizado cuál es el polo vivo y cuál el neutro: simplemente pintando 50 metros de un color, y dejando los otros 50 del color de fábrica.
Para eso, compré un rollo de cable color rojo, lo dividí en dos rollos de 50 metros, y pinté uno de ellos de color negro. Dado que el motivo de hacerlo era técnico y no estético, no importaba si el color negro era del todo parejo, bastaba con que la parte visible tuviera una parte pintada para identificarlo inequívocamente. Las fotos muestran cómo lo hice, y las notas agregan explicaciones.

On the occasion of having to install the extension cord for my new workshop, I made inquiries into the case and found the following complication, nothing unexpected by the way: if I bought cable on two colors, I was forced to spend almost double money. That's because the monopole wire comes in rolls of 100 meters, but also it is sold loose, paying a much higher price. As I needed less than 50 meters, a single roll was enough, but if it was all the same color, would be very much complicate to me to tend the power lines.
So I decided to not spend a single penny more, but not give up on having perfectly individualized what the live pole is and which is neutral: just painting 50 meters from a color, and leaving the other 50 color factory .
For that, I bought a roll of red wire, I divided it into two rolls of 50 meters, and painted black one of them. Since the reason for that was technical and not aesthetical, no matter if the black color was quite even, it was sufficient that the visible part have a little painted to have it uniquely identified. The photos show how I did, and notes add explanations.

Usé pintura en aerosol, lo cual contradice la esencia del instructable, que es ahorrar unos pesos. Me dio fiaca pintar a rodillo, y además pensé que un tarro mediano iba a sobrar, pero alcanzó justito.
