Introduction: Paper Flowers

With spring in the air, but a severe lack of flowers outside, I decided to make my own! Here's a cheap, easy, and eco-friendly decorating idea.

Step 1:

You will need:
-newspaper (or a different paper of your choosing)
-wire
-wire cutters
-branches (from the ground-NOT a living tree)
-paint

Step 2: Creating the Flowers

Create the petals by cutting a strip of semicircles from your paper. You can also use the pages of an old book if you have one at your disposal. Wrap each strip around an end of the branch. Secure it with a piece of wire.

Step 3: Painting

This next step is optional. I've made a bouquet with the newspaper still exposed, which is a really cool look. Painting the flowers and branches turns out to look cleaner, though. You can't go wrong, whichever style you choose.
