Paper Kunai and Sheath Instructable

Paper Kunai and Sheath Instructable
I have noticed that many people have been asking for a paper kunai instructable. I happen to know how to make them, so I decided to put my account to use. I'm sorry if you were looking for a throwable kunai, because I've tried many ways to throw this one and have not found any. Maybe I just stink at throwing kunai, I don't know. This kunai is good for holding and twirling on your finger, though. The kunai handle is a bit short for my liking, but I made this kunai late at night and I was way too lazy to fix it. I was already rather far in the kunai making and picture taking process. Oh, and as for the picture quality, I took these pictures with my cell phone. I do not own a digital camera, and like I said, this kunai was made late at night. If there is anything that needs clarifying, do not hesitate to ask. Please understand that this is my first instructable. Thanks, and I wish you all luck making your kunai. -RachelisBored95

Step 1Materials

Materials
You will need:
1. 2 pieces of paper (I used computer paper)
2. Tape (I guess liquid glue would work too, but tape is easier to use)
3. 4 pennies (Optional, for added weight)
4. A pencil (Not exactly necessary, it just helped me to form the handle and the ring)
5. Scissors (If you aren't very good at ripping paper, or want a cleaner looking kunai. I personally just rip my paper.)

while folding the paper hamburger (vertical) style, don't make the fold DIRECTLY in the middle, make the fold slightly off center to have a bigger sheath than blade and shave the top of the sheath off. this looks cooler.

also a way to make the whole kunai hold together better is to use hot gule where you combining 2 peices or to make the tip heavier and stronger :D
Mar 28, 2010. 7:14 AMApple_4_life says:
by filling the tip with glue

this is a great instructable, but it doesn't throw straight :( any suggestions?

Mar 9, 2010. 7:32 PMmaltak says:
Awesome! Maybe you could find a way to make the tip stronger.
business card?
Mar 27, 2010. 1:11 PMApple_4_life says:
I used the sheath as a second layer for the blade and put son cardboard (from a beer box :P) which made the tip heavier and stronger (cut the cardboard to fit in less then half of the blade NOT for the entire blade, so its better balanced) and im painting my kunai black for more realisticness

if u take this, and tape the blade on all sides, take the sheath and tabe it on there, but leave the sides open, u can have enough weight w/out the pennies to throw it like a dart. will make an instructable how to do it, and give u a link on each page how to make urs, kay? is it? HUH? ill find u and steal ur puppy dog and pet it until it likes me best and wont love u anymore if u say no!

Me and a friend at school are making a Paper-Ninja Armory. So far we have about 60 throwing stars, 20 throwing squares, and now, one of these. I plan to make more.
Great instructable. Faved, and rated 5*
Anyone know of any more good paper-ninja weapons?

ok, so i made one of these last night, i ran into 1 major problem, when you throw it, it crinlkes at the tip, in other words, the front end crunches, one way im thinking i could fix that is by putting 2 to 3 squewers (i know i cant spell) and that should keep it from crunching, time to test it.
