Introduction: Paracord Zipper Charm

in this constructable I will be showing you how to make a paracord zipper charm in about 10 to 15 minutes!
you will need
- paracord
- scissors
- a lighter
- a ruler
- and a keyring

Step 1: Chose Your Colors

chose one or two paracord colors. I personally chose white and blue but any colors can be used.

Step 2: Measure Your Product

grab your ruler and paracord and set the rest aside. measure 2 feet of both colors (or 4 feet of one color) of paracord if you want it the same length as mine or if you want it longer measure about a foot of paracord for every inch and a half of finished product.

Step 3: Fusing the Cords

fuse the 2 strands of cord together using the bottom of the flame from your lighter and pushing them together to create a bond. this may take multiple tries to get right.(skip this step if you have on color.)

Step 4: Attaching the Keyring

pinch under the bond and push it though the keyring. then bend the loop so it's on top of the rest of the cord and pull the ends though the loop and synch it tight. if you don't want the bond showing, make the loop out of only one of the colors.

Step 5: Starting the Weave

first you want to measure your cord like shown in the picture and pinch it at about 2 and a half inches if you are copying me (be sure to hold it tight and don't let go.) then take take the color on the left and make a loop on both sides. last take the colors without the loops and put it down the loop it's closest to and up the other loop and synch it tight. NOTE: it might be a little off from your first measurement so measure and adjust to make sure it's still the same length.

Step 6: Continuing

continue by doing the same 2 loop technique and just keep repeating it until you get to the end. NOTE: when you get to the end, grab the keyring and the weave and push up torwds the end to free up more space to fit a few more weaves.

Step 7: Finishing the Ends

last step! cut the the remains off and heat it with your lighter (be sure not to catch the cord on fire) and use your scissors to push the melted end down NOTE: be sure to push firmly and fast because it will cool quickly!

Step 8: Done!

all done! you can attach this to a backpack zipper or any thing else you like! thanks for checking out my instructable! please vote and share! if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment!
