Introduction: Party Glass Markers

Picture of Party Glass Markers

Make customized gifts and party favors that everyone will love!  Use these cute glass markers to distinguish drinking glasses.  These markers take less than 5 minutes to make and are sure to be a hit at any party.

Step 1: Materials

Picture of Materials

Small Suction Cups

Buttons, Charms, Beads - something to attach to the suctions cups

Glue Gun

Cutting Tool - I used wire cutters, they worked better than scissors

Step 2: Prepare Suction Cups and Buttons

My suction cups came with little eyelets.  I cut them off with the wire cutters.  Be careful not to cut a hole through the suction cup because it will no longer stick to surfaces.

If your button or bead has an eyelet you will want to cut it off as well.

Step 3: Gluing

Use a small amount of glue to adhere suction cup to button.

Let glue dry for a minute or so.

Step 4: Have Fun!

Stick on glasses and have fun!

This would be a great project with a 3D printer; names, bugs, Halloween, holidays, and other stuff.

Great idea!
Too bad there's no fly or tarantula ones. Hehehe ;)

I thought about doing ones where I take the head and tail of a bug and put them on opposite sides, so it looked like the bug was cut in half. That would have been good for halloween.

Any other gory ideas?

Oooh, for Halloween, severed fingers! Don't think they make great buttons, but whatever that can be hot glued would work on the glassware... red wine, ...

You might have to make those your self out of some air dry clay or some kind of plastic playdough like stuff.

Maybe do a treasure hunt at the art and or hobby store for ideas.

You can find spiders and bugs--especially around Halloween--in dollar stores like DollarTree. They even have glow-in-the-dark versions if your party has a romantic edge.

Great idea- I'm always losing my glass at a party. It's OK if you have a stem glass as you can use the little ring thingies but this will work on other glasses too!

This is so cute and simple too:)
