This is a recipe that I have tweaked from a newspaper dog treat "cookie". I modified it because it calls for an ingredient that most everyone doesn't have, but it works just as well the way I did it. My dogs can't get enough if these, so I wanted to share it.
Step 1: Ingredients
2 peeled bananas
1 1/4 cup flour
1 2/3 cup oats
1 cup parsley (you can rough measure this)
6 tbsp peanut butter
The original recipe calls for oat flour, which is healthier for dogs, and 1 1/3 cup oats. I only have regular flour, so I cut down on that and added more oats to help make these more dog stomach friendly.
Step 2: Mixing
Mash bananas and then mix everything else in in a large bowl. Stir well.
Step 3: Baking
Roll into 24 medium balls. Place on a LARGE cookie sheet. Make sure the sheet is greased. Bake at 300° for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
Depending on the oven, it may cook in about 25-35 mins.
let the cookies cool.
Step 4: Done!
Josie was waiting the whole process. She and Lilah love them so much. I hope your dogs do, too.
