Pi is math-speak for a circle's circumference divided by its diameter. This ratio roughly calculates to around 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993751058209749445923078. This, however, is a bit of an understatement in that pi has actually been calculated thus far with no discernible repetition and no end in sight. There are places online where you can find pi extending for millions of digits. Fortunately, pi is normally rounded down to 3.14 to make it easy for us to get a grasp on. In honor of this common and readily used mathematical anomaly, the dorks of the world have created Pi Day. As one might guess, Pi Day is on March 14th (get it ?!). I, for one, plan to kick off my rock around the clock at 1:59.
