Introduction: Pie Pastry( Pie Crust)

The basics to make any pie is its pastry .

In a very simple way i have tried to make this pastry and without the use of any machines.

Follow the steps and watch the video to make it the best. Do give a try , hope you all enjoy making it. Cook n Enjoy.

Step 1: Ingredients


1. All purpose flour 200 grams

2. Butter - 80 grams( cold and not at room temperature)

3. Salt- 1 tsp

4. Sugar- 1 tsp

5. Vanilla essence powder -1/2 tsp

6. Chilled water- 4 to 5 tbsp

Step 2: Method


In a bowl add all purpose flour, sugar , salt and vanilla essence powder. Mix well.

Now ad to it the butter and mix well.Now add very cold water in parts.

First add 1 tbsp of water then mix and then add other two and then mix again and then add the last tbsp of water if you think you need one more tbsp to be added to well combine then add to it one more. Make sure that the dough isn't too sticky , it should be tightly combined, Refrigerate it for around two hours and make you desired pastry with your favorite fillings .
