You feel Car sick, Sea sick? That morning sickness you get for pregnancy? Well you definitely don't want to take pills when you are pregnant!! and the other times? do you really want to drug yourself with pills that make you feel so drowsy you cant seem to enjoy your trip???

Well...what can you do??
YOU  can use acupressure! It's safe, drug free and cost you almost $0/=.

Interested?? Read on :-)

Step 1: What Is Acu Pressure?

Developed over 4000 years, acupressure is one of the techniques used by Chinese medical practitioners who believe that illness results from an imbalance in the flow of life energy - or Chi (pronounced ‘chee’ and sometimes spelt ‘Qi’) - throughout the body.

The flow of Chi

Chi circulates through the body along a network of invisible channels beneath the skin called meridians. There are 12 basic meridians, paired on the right and left sides of the body and named after the internal organs to which they are attached.

Dotted along the meridians are 2000 or so known acu points, where Chi enters and leaves the body. Stimulation of these points - whether by needles, heat, mild electrical currents or pressure - is said to free the flow of Chi, releasing blockages and restoring depletions, thus returning the body to harmony

What is the P-6 Point ?

Pericardium 6 (P6) is one of these points, governing the movement of energy in the chest, harmonisation of the digestion and stomach, the regulation of blood flow and the calming of the mind.

The Chinese use acupressure on P6 to treat chest pain, irregular and painful periods, pre-menstrual depression, insomnia and to relieve nausea and vomiting, acid regurgitation, hiccupping and belching.

Step 2: What Is the P-6 Point

Pericardium 6 (P6) also known as  Nei Guan  is one of these accu points, governing the movement of energy in the chest, harmonisation of the digestion and stomach, the regulation of blood flow and the calming of the mind.
The Chinese use acupressure on P6 to treat chest pain, irregular and painful periods, pre-menstrual depression, insomnia and to relieve nausea and vomiting, acid regurgitation, hiccupping and belching.

To find P-6  point measure three fingers width from the first wrist crease, The point is below your pointed finger between the two tendons in the forearm.

Sometimes it might be difficult to find your tendons...so clench your hands to find it :-)

Step 3: Make It...Use It!

It's pretty easy to make a band to hold the pressure. You could go out and buy the ready made bands....but why bother when you can make your own personalized bands??
Guys..you can make some cool macho bands from hemp or even wrist watch bands :-) ....no need to be shy or embarrassed...
The possibilities are endless!

Here I would show how to make an adjustable band...it's a pretty cool gift to give someone...if you know they suffer from nausea...but don't know their exact size!

Materials
adjustable elastic
globe button
flat button
needle and thread.
fabric paint (optional)

Method
Cut 2 lengths of elastic to approximately 7" each. Cut ends in 'V' so it does not fray.
Paint to desired color
Sew globe button in one side.
sew the flat button on the other side as shown in  picture.
That's it!
Now find your pressure point and place the glove button on it.
Remember....it has to be tight enough to apply pressure...but not too tight to stop blood circulation!!

Finally....if you don't want to sew and need something quick...just glue a bead to an elastic hair band that fits you well!
Pretty easy huh??

Try it out and let me know how it goes :-)
I've experimented with many and found out when placed correctly it works like a charm!!

There was a little boy who I tried it  on...he found it such a relief...that the next time before he traveled he asked his mom to put it on for him :-)

Thanks for reading through...please try it out and let me know your feelings about it.
Also don't forget to vote! I'm entering it for Home remedies and Holiday Gifts....so please vote if you like it! Thanks!
Congratulations shazni! I'm soooo excited :D
Thanks! same here :-)
