Pilot G2 Pen Cannon- for the Pocket Sized Contest

Pilot G2 Pen Cannon- for the Pocket Sized Contest
In this instructable I will show you how to make a pocket sized bb cannon out of the popular G2 gel pen made by Pilot. The building process takes about ten minutes and less than $5. I apologize in advance for saying clicky piece, I do not know the true name for it, if there is one. The "clicky piece" is the piece at the top of the pen that you "click" to open and close the pen.

PS- I made this instructable for the pocket sized contest, so please tell me if you like it and what I can do to improve it, for this is my first instructable. Also, I will be publishing an instructable later on about crusader finger puppets.

To build the bb cannon, you need:

- Pilot G2 pen (commonly found at Staples, Office Depot, etc. in packs of three or five)
- airsoft bb's or other ammunition (i.e.- small wads of paper, or other small objects you find around you. Be resourceful!
- saw (I recommend a small toothed saw) (opt.- if you don't use the saw, the inside pieces of the pen will fly out when fired, but you can put the pen back together and still use it as a normal pen; if you use the saw, the pens only purpose is a bb cannon and does not work efficiently as a pen anymore)
-clamp

this pen cannon is okay but the pen cost about 2$ a cheaper alternative is with a pilot easytouch which shoots farther and is more powerful but needs 1 extra spring

I have some suggestions...
1.End the pen ink before doiong this. I had to throw mine away due to ink spills.
2.Use BB's when shoothing at people, toothpicks when practicing. They stay skewered to your target and you can put more then one in the barrel to have a "shotgun" effect.
3.Make something like a "ramp" for the BB's. You can also simply roll sandpaper and spin it to the top part. (Note: only if you're using sawed-off barrel)

Hey, I found that if you don't want it to be cut off, you can screw on a grip from the Bic round stick grip pen and it still works well, and maybe even better than if you did saw it off.

while you have this piece off, file the inside of the end that screws into the upper half so whatever you are shooting out has a "ramp" and doesn't get caught

This is really cool. I'm not allowed to have air soft guns, but my neighbor shoots all over our street...I'll be able to find a couple.
