Hollow out the pieces
I grabbed a rotary tool and quickly dug out a gap in each piece. Keep testing the fit with the flash drive until it's nice and snug. The same thing goes for the cap.

If you read the tutorial, it says that he used a rotary tool. One of the biggest manufacturers of a rotary tool is Dremel. Google it.

If you dont know what a dremel is, google it :D A rotary tool is a more general term for a dremel. Dremel is a specific tool of the rotary tool catagory.
