One day at about 11:00 at night, my stomach started to grumble. I walked to the fridge and took out some food that seemed to go good together. I then assembled it on a piece of pita bread and - Voila! I accidentally invented a very tasty snack thats quick and easy to make. I have made this instructable to share with you the tastiness of this snack and I hope you enjoy it as much as I had making it.

Step 1: Ingredients

The Pita Bread Snack doesnt take a lot of ingredients and is quick and easy to assemble.

You Will Need:
  -Pita Bread
  -About Five Cherry Tomatoes
  -One Sausage of Your Choice (I used just a regular turkey sausage)
  -Three (or more) Slices of Thin Sliced Salami
  -Some Feta or Goat Cheese (As much as you please)
  -A Pinch of Dried Oregano (opt.)
  -A Pinch of Pepper (opt.)
  -Three or Four Fresh Picked Basil Leaves
 

Step 2: Warm and Cut the Sausage

The first step is very self explanitory: All you need to do is warm the sausage in the microwave for about 25 seconds or untill it starts to sizzle. Then, carefully remove the sausage (as it will be hot!) and cut it into quarter inch slices. Finally, set the cut sausage aside.

Step 3: Cutting the Tomatoes

Take your five cherry tomatoes and cut them first in half then in half again to create quarters. Again, set aside after they are cut.

Step 4: Warming the Pita Bread

Take your slice of pita bread and nuke it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or untill desired warmth. Then take either your feta cheese or goat cheese (or both!) and spread it onto the pita bread. The warmth of the bread should help to soften the cheese and make it easier to spread.

Step 5: Adding the Ingredients

First add your thin sliced salami onto the pita bread in a somewhat organized matter (it should look pretty right?). Then add your fresh picked leaves of basil onto the bread (optional). Next scatter the sliced tomatoes and sausage onto the bread.

Step 6: Spices

The Final, but optional step, to a tasty snack is to add the spices. In my opinion the spices give it an extra kick of flavor and really make the snack taste great.     Sprinkle a pinch of oregano onto the bread accompanied with some ground black pepper. If you want to get really creative you can add any spices you would like to give it the kick you want.
  However you eat it is up to you; whether your fold it like a taco, or eat it like a pizza, but most of all enjoy :)
