Step 5 Finish

Good job you have made a durable plastic fabric (hee hee it rhymes!) This technique also works for trash bags.

Holes: holes appear if you stay in one place to long. It burns right through the plastic.

Be careful about burning plastic!

Does anyone know if it's a problem when melting them together?

I suppose only when you burn thru and you create fumes, but we'd like some guidance here from somebody who knows this stuff...

Nice way to recycle plastic bags! But what do you do with the scraps? (Handles and bottom)

toss them into a pile then make a collosse

Sometimes I fuse them into strips and if i need a strengthened piece of fabric i will fuse it to that to reinforce like "re-bar"

i have never heard of this....very neat. the one thing i would say that would be helpful is how this would be helpful, say like what you would use plastic fabric....

Couldn't you just use multiple bags instead of folding it? Pretty good format with enough details. The only thing to watch out for is making sure you credit Make, but you did properly. Now I got to think of a way to put this stuff right on cardboard.

Very cool. Now you have the "fabric" you can maybe make a larger project, say a bathmat?
