lmao!! but seriously, take some expanding foam in a spray can and cut holes in the mold. fill it a little at a time and cut the extra that comes out the hole off. As for the plastic wrap making large "slices" in the foam, just leave the tape on.

You could fill it with great stuff but make sure you put in a little at a time or else it wont expand and solidify, misting it with water also helps

Use different tape, i guess. something like duct tape would make it stronger and more flexible, but probably more expensive. you could reinforce it with wire if you really wanted to.

I really don't think you could. When you cut it to take it off, and tape it back up, it tends to leave cling wrap... hanging? inside. This would interfere with the gel after it had set, as you would have.... slices i guess, through the whole thing.

Actually, i've always though that the best way of waging psychological warfare on someone is to leave a scarecrow outside their house, tho i've never had cause to do it....only because i'm not sure where MOST of the people i'd like to scarecrow live....most of them...

I keep a scarecrow in my room for when I have friends over. When they turn around or doze off or something, I move the scarecrow a little or turn it so it faces them. Most people only come over once or twice.
Perhaps you could do the head by making a ball of whatever and then using stuff like tape to form the features?

someone mentions you can do a full-body cast if you have a friend do it. Please be aware, this is *dangerous*. If the room temperature is slightly too hot, and your body starts to sweat, the sweat will not evaporate, hence it will not cool your body. Your body will just sweat more and more, and you will end up hyperthermic, extremely dehydrated, and possibly hyperkalemic. You can search the news literature for people who have died in this way. Just please be careful.

Although I agree that using plastic to cover the body is dangerous, making body cast are not. There are many products out there(Sodium Alginate, Moulage, etc...), that are perfectly safe. I did a search on dangers associated with this process, only by using (plastic, pure plaster as oppossed to plaster bandages made for casting), are thee any dangers associated. a similar method is used to produce diy draping dummies by putting the model in cheap clothing that covers the area to be modeled and binging them in pose with duct tape or gaffers tape, then stuffing with rags, or expansion foam. for multiple pieces matched together a few marker line on athletic tape or skin (2 circles around the joint ~2" apart and a transverse line for orientation reference) works well. make both pieces extend to the far mark, and then join with the known overlap. n.b. more... gravity prone and soft segments of anatomy can be shaped to more optimal positions while taping. this is especially useful in cosetry.

I wonder if this would be easier to do (although, messier!) with papier maché. Basically, you could make a whole cast of your body bit by bit with papier maché, plaster of paris and gauzey strip things (the medical gauze, very loose, that comes in rolls.) I had my foot papier-machéd like this to make a mold for my orthotics that i wear to run... also, it wasn't cut off, just tugged off. i imagine that, if the mold is firm enough, you could possibly make joints for it (internal metal skeleton??) and then of course, make tape/plastic cones off of that base! this is definitely on my "to do" list.

We did this as a group project. Some people made torso casts and I did a whole body. Best technique is to have a helper cut strips and then apply them. Here neat ness is bad. The more wrinkles the stronger the layer. I did the breathe throught the straw thing. It worked but I strongly suggest using both nostrils and mouth straws. The finished project was a total trip.

Haha, cool. I did this with my foot. Now I can send my servants to do my shoe shopping for me. Unless, of course, my feet grow. I filled it with water, it started to leak. I guess I did a half-assed job (well, I did do a half-assed job). It's drying on the vent right now; I'm going to use it as a pen holder.

Someone needs to mention that it is very dangerous to wrap plastic wrap or tape around your own neck. If the pressure is too great, you could pass out in seconds (even with a full breath of air, it's the circulation that gets you), left to die if no one else is with you. And wow, what a stupid way to die.
