- Download here the Rockbox build that matches your iPod
(note that there are different versions for the 30gb and 60/80gb models. Make sure you get the right one)

- Extract the .rockbox folder to the main directory of your iPod

I like the way you've explained all the steps. Very educative. But for all those who have problems getting the wad files or loading rockbox things are made easier (copy & paste-practically) at the following site. Just download the file, unzip and read the simple instructions:
