Pocket Scrolls

Ever get in tragic accident and wanted to write your last will? Ever wanted to leave a short, yet totally awesome note in someones jacket pocket for them to discover? Or have you ever wanted to brush up on your caligraphy while waiting at the doctors office?
With the pocket scrolls you can do all that and more! Plus, they look so cute when you pull them out of your pocket. Best of all, they're supper easy to make and relatively cheap.

Step 1 Materials

The only things you will need for this instructable is:
Paper
Any straight, round, tiny piece of wood (I used skewers)
Glue (Any kind, but preferably something strong)
Scissors
Imagination (Hopefully I will be publishing instructable for pocket-sized imagination soon)

quick ques. how were you able to keep them closed

you could always just hold them closed for like 3-5 minutes then it wont open unless you open it

the 2 easiest things you can find to use for the little sticks: 1. toothpick or what i used: 2. lollipop stick. i just cut off the lollipop and used that xD

i just went do an naruto wiki, went to summoning jutsu, en copied the japanese name, then put it sideways on it.. looks aweomse and actually means something ;)

What if you poured gunpowder into the paper, rolled it into a scroll around a stick with a 5-second fuse taped to it, lit the fuse, and threw it? I wonder if it would shatter into somewhat of a firecracker (like the ones that go into the sky, since the stuff you see is actually just burning paper) or would cause it to unroll super quickly? I think the first one would be awesome. This only goes to show you how many countless uses can come from a general-purpose scroll!

Thanks a bunch for the cool idea. I am making an instructable and am planning to use this in it. of course i plan to give credit to you . I have a question- How Would you keep it from unravelling?

you might use those tiny rubber bands from braces. if you want something more permanent though i would suggest a tiny drop of superglue.
