You, and YOU alone can determine the number and type of things that go in this kit. heres what I myself use:

assorted steel hooks.
assorted lead weights
Spider Wire OR Berkly Trilene mono-filament fishing line.
Assorted Flies
Assorted Jigs and Lures
And Anything else you want to put in it.

Step 4: Thats It!!!

And THATS IT!!! now you have your own pocket sized Survival Fishing kit that triples as a land based survival kit if you know how to use your kit properly. you could make snares, catch a rabbit lie "cheat fishing" (where you sink the hook into the back of the fish). you could even make a shelter if you needed to in severe cases. feel free to tailor your kit to YOUR needs...mine is made for me. the things that I included in the kit are basic essentials...the lures and pre-made leaders are a luxury. you could catch a fish off just a hook and line if you had to.

I hope you enjoyed this Instructable as much I did making it!! and good luck surviving in the wilderness. hopefully you will NEVER have to use this kit.

I have heard the the braided fishing line has less memory, I will probably use that in mine but overall pretty good kit there.

i would add paperclips you can bend the tips and tie then to a fishing pole and repair a eyelet or to a stick for a cane pole
