Introduction: Pokémon Cushion

Hey there! If you are a Pokémon lover and want to give your home a freaky touch, this is your project!

Things you'll need:

  • 45x45cm fabric from the colour of your Pokémon - I used canvas, for example
  • 45x35cm and 45x13cm of the same fabric
  • Fabric paint and markers
  • 45 cm zipper
  • Cushion filler
  • Sewing supplies

Step 1: Paint the Designs on Your Fabric

Use the paint and the markers to paint the faces of your favourite Pokémon. Depending on the complexity, you'll need one thing or another. For example, I used only markers for Pikachu, but mostly paint for the rest - and black marker for the details.

Step 2: Iron the Back of the Desings

This is necessary for the paint to stay in the fabric forever.

Step 3: Overlock Two Sides From the Smaller Pieces

Whipstitch one of the 45cm sides of the smaller pieces - those that aren't 45x45cm. If you get confused with which side to overlock, pay attention to the next step.

Step 4: Sew the Zipper to the Narrower Piece

As you can see in the image, place the zipper face up and pin the fabric to it, face down, with the overlocked side up. Sew along.

Sew the other part of the zipper to the other overlocked side of the 45x35cm piece, same way as this.

Step 5: Fold and Sew

We'll hide the zipper by folding and sewing the fabric about 1cm, as you can see in the pictures.

Step 6: Sew Along and Fill

With the zipper half closed, sew all along the four sides of the square, and overlock the edges. Cut the corners -it will be much more even when turned-, turn it inside out and fill it. Ta-da! Finished cushion to make your room much more Pokemon-fortable.
