"Pols Voice" Anti-Yo Worldwide Video Yo-yo Contest

video "Pols Voice" Anti-Yo Worldwide Video Yo-yo Contest
This is a trick I came up with awhile ago. The name is from the rabbit/kangaroo/rodent like enemy from "The Legend of Zelda." Like Pols Voice this trick hops around. The trick is not too hard but fairly long and looks kind of "Tech." I tried my hardest to keep the spirit of Instructables with this video. The trick is not done fast so it should be easy to learn from. The description is as clear as I could get it without using much yo-yo "Jargon." I hope that someone with very little yo-yo experience can watch and read this trick and have enough information to try it. Enjoy.

1. Throw a trapeze. Swing the yo-yo under and around your non throw hand on the inside of your throw hand. Now swing the yo-yo under and around your non throw hand again but this time land it on the string. You should now be in a double on trapeze. This part of the trick is the first steps of "Skin the Gerbil." Now unwrap the double on trapeze but pinch the string with your non throw hand index finger and thumb.

2. Whip the string around the string that the yo-yo is hanging from and inset your throw hand thumb in the loop that is formed. Un pinch the string on your non throw hand and let the string rest only on your thumb.

3. Swing the yo-yo under and around your non throw hand index finger and land it on the forward most string coming off your non throw hand. Hop the yo-yo to the forward most string coming off your throw hand. Now hop the yo-yo to the string closest to your body and drop the string from your non throw hand thumb. At this point there should be a twist in the string close to your throw hand thumb. Twist tour thumb to get rid of the twist in the string. Drop the string completely from your non throw hand.

4. At this point there should be a loop in the string. Put your throw hand index finger in that loop and then undercut the yo-yo. Pop the yo-yo up and over (back to front) the string that's on top of it and then land it on the same string that you popped it off of.

5. Right now there should be three string coming off the yo-yo. One off your non throw hand index finger, one off your throw hand thumb, and one off of the string itself. You are going to want to swing the yo-yo under and around your non throw hand index finger and then land it on the string that was coming off the string itself. Now undo what you just did by popping the yo-yo up and hitting the top most string then going over and around your non throw hand index finger. Let the momentum of this swing the yo-yo towards your throw hand, then back towards your non throw hand.

6. At this point you are going to want to use your non throw hand index finger to whip the yo-yo up and around your throw hand. As you are doing this remove your non throw hand index finger from the string. Since the string is coming off your throw hand thumb you will have to rotate you throw hand wrist as the yo-yo goes round. You should now have a nice little hole where you can fit all four fingers of your non throw hand in. as your doing this rotate your throw hand back to where it was originally.

7. Now jump the yo-yo to the string coming off the top of your non throw hand As your doing this rotate your non throw hand wrist. Now pop the yo-yo to the string that is now the top string off your non throw hand. You can now remove all our fingers on your non throw hand except your index finger and then rotate your throw hand thumb down to get rid of the twist in the string that was present.

8. Finally you are going to want to swing the yo-yo under and then over your non throw hand index finger and land it on the forward most string. Now stick your non throw hand thumb into the string that coming off your throw hand thumb and than release the string from your throw hand thumb. Lastly swing the yo-yo towards your throw hand on the side of the string closest to your body, drop all the strings but one on your index finger from the your non throw hand, and land the yo-yo on the one string remaining. You should now be in a simple trapeze. Dismount any way you would like.
