I made this a couple of years ago. I probably won't post an instructable, although i might.. It shoots bamboo skewers (pretty fast). Although it doesn't work like a real crossbow (it uses a rubber band), it can still shoot pretty well. Thin bamboo skewers work best(and hurt the most). The thin ones shoot so fast that they can actually penetrate my wall(i won't post a proof picture of this, because i don't want any more small holes in my wall). -It can shoot about 40-45 feet depending on which kind of bamboo skewer it's shooting.
Ohhh, quite nice, I would Love to see a instructable of this, I've made a few crappy crossbows and some quite good small bows. I'll post up my bow and show ya in exchange for the plans for this
You HAVE GOT to post an instructable on this. It is totally AWESOME!!!!
Thanks :D. I may make an instructable when/if i get more popsicle sticks. But if I do, i most likely will.
Awesome.I love all of your instructables. I did make a crossbow, but it's no where near as cool as that one.
Thanks, that's great :D. Do you think you could post pictures?
Yeah sure! Its not as big or good looking as yours, but its good enough for me. Its accuracy is OK. It can shoot up to about ten feet. It's made out of skewers.
Nice. Mine is the way it is, because this was originally an experiment. I started by just making a normal bow, but when i saw that it was hard to use, i decided to mod it into a crossbow. I had a long time to work on this, so it came out more detailed than anything i could normally make out of popsicle sticks and hot glue. I'm sure if i tried for a crossbow from the beginning, it would be similar to yours.
