Introduction: Popsicle Stick Crossbow/Catapult

I got this idea from searching through a LOT of toothpick/popsicle stick crossbows. This should only take about 20-30 mins. MAX. This is my first 'ible so anything i missed please let me know. =)

Step 1: PARTS YOU WILL NEED!

Tools: Hot Glue Gun, Strong Scissors.
Parts: 2 Large popsicle sticks, 4 small popsicle sticks, 2 8 inch bamboo skewers.

Step 2: Putting Together the Body.

Take the 2 (two) large popsicle sticks and hot glue them together.

Step 3: Creating the String/elastic Tension Holder(s).

Hot glue 1(one) small popsicle stick to the under side of the front and 1(one) small popsicle stick to the back. Then trim off as much as you think is enough if it is too long.

Step 4: Adding the Projectile Guide.

Now you'll need 1(one) of the bamboo skewers. Cut it in half and trim it until it is even (and if you feel necessary also cut off the point). Then glue them to the top side of the main body as wide as your ammo will be.

Step 5: Creating the Stand(s).

Grab 1(one) small popsicle stick and cut it evenly into 3(three). Glue the 2(two) pieces with rounded ends flat side to the bottom of the main body. the glue the flat ended piece with one edge on on each of the other 2(two). Then cut 1(one) small popsicle stick in half and glue it an inch or two in front of the back base.

Step 6: The Firing Mechanism.

I forgot about this step and didn't have any pictures of it. You'll need an elastic/elastic string and a paper holder. hot glue the paper holder to the popsicle stick protruding from the end. Then tie the elastic/elastic string to the popsicle stick glued horizontal to the main base.

Step 7: AMMO!

I also did not have pictures of this but all you do it hot glue two toothpicks together side by side then cut a bamboo skewer to the length of the toothpicks and hot glue it on top.

Step 8: Finished!

You should now have a working catapult/crossbow and one piece of ammo to do whatever you wish with it. Have luck and have fun!
