Introduction: Portable Duct Tape Keychain

About: I'm a husband, a parent and an 8th grade science teacher.

There are three things that I find myself needing often enough to have on me at all times. One is a knife; I don’t need a machete or a k-bar, just something small and sharp. (There is a nice one at Harbor Freight that you may want to check outhttp://www.harborfreight.com/key-shaped-folding-knife-66837.html ) Another thing I need often is a flashlight, but there is an app for that, so off the key ring it goes. The third is duct tape, not much but enough to do one emergency project. The key ring is the perfect place for a roll of duct tape.

Step 1: You Will Need:

Duct tape

Large paperclip

Pliers

Knife

Step 2:

First, unfold the paperclip so it forms a “U” shape. Then bend it to form a loop for the key ring.

Step 3:

Next, wrap the tape around the paperclip. Stop before it gets too bulky. Then cut the ends of the paperclip.

Step 4: Finished

Now you can repair on the go!
